Parents' Evenings
Parents Evening at Lancasterian
We have two Parents' Evenings every year- one in the Autumn term and one in the Spring term. (Written reports come out in the Summer term.) They are usually on a Wednesday evening with slots avaliable between 3:30pm - 5:50pm. Slots are 10mins long, unless they require translation. Appointments are avaliable face-to-face or via the telephone. Parents struggling to attend on the evening can arrange alternative times with the class teacher.
The meeting is an opportunity to meet the teacher, and class team if face-to-face, to:
- Discuss how your child has settled into their new class
- Review your child’s progress towards their EHCP outcomes
- Look at their work and review progress on their My Learning Outcomes (MLO)
- Discuss yours and the teachers targets/priorities for your child over the next year.
Face-to-face:
Parents are encouraged to come into school because alongside the opportunity to meet the whole class team and see the classroom there are also additional resources and information avaliable in the school hall.
Translation:
Translation is avaliable for both face-to-face and telephone appointments. Translators need to be booked ahead of time so please inform the school of the need for a translator and the language required when you return the form.
Please note that the cost to school for a translator is significant. If you request an translator and then need to cancel your meeting with the teacher please provide at least two days’ notice.
