Chris Bellamy - MD, firstfound, Community Governor

I was born in 1970 in a small village in North Yorkshire. I enjoyed an excellent education at the local primary and secondary schools before studying for a joint honours degree in physics and mathematics at Salford University. I was the first person in my family to go to University.

I left University in 1991 and worked for various companies in administrative, marketing and IT roles. In 1993, whilst working in Ireland, I met my wife. I set up my company, firstfound, in 2000. firstfound is one of the largest and most successful search engine marketing companies in the UK, employing 120 staff in Manchester and Dublin.

I currently live in Bramhall with my wife, two sons (aged 4 years and 12 months) and our cat. I am an avid supporter of Middlesbrough Football Club and my hobbies include reading, cooking and anything to do with computers.

I am passionate about education. Through attending a good school with excellent teachers I become the person I am today. I believe that a good education is something that every child should receive to enable them to achieve the maximum out of life and that Lancasterian school provides this.
