Medical Staff

The Lancasterian School’s medical department consists of a full-time nurse and assistant who provide direct nursing cover and ensure that each child’s individual health needs are met.

Our range of on-site services include:

• Community paedriatrician
• Annual dental screening
• Orthoptist
• Chiropodist
• Dietician
• Continence Advisor

The school nurse is also particularly involved in:

• Administration of medical and prescribed treatments
• Post-operative care
• Tube and gastronomy feeding
• General health surveillances
• Vaccinations
• Counselling
• Sex and health education
• School medicals
• Organising clinics
• In-service training

Our nurse works closely with parents and carers, and will gladly discuss any concerns or questions you might have.
