About the Lancasterian School

Established in 1906, the Lancasterian school has been servicing the needs of pupils for over a century.

Lancasterian school is a specialist communication establishment dedicated to teaching and supporting children with a range of physical and medical disabilities. We specialise in helping children overcome their disabilities and communicate with the world around them. In some cases, we provide our pupils with a voice for the first time in their life. At Lancasterian we also teach a range of students aged between 2½ and 16 years old who are unable to attend mainstream schools due to their unique educational needs.

Our dedicated teachers and staff provide an extremely high standard of care and learning for each of our pupils, and our specialist team members are able to aid in anything from speech and language therapy to individual support for families, carers and pupils.

As well as offering education, care and support within the school, we also provide support to pupils and families outside of school hours, with a range of extra-curricular activities and support groups.
